Yoga is an applied science in a number of fields such as education, physical education and sports, health education, family welfare, psychology, medicine and therapy. Here scholars was investigated the effect of pranadharana on selected physiological variables-resting heart rate, resting respiratory rate, positive breath holding capacity, negative breath holding capacity. Pranadharana is a meditation on the breath and the experience of breathing in the different bodies: the physical body-air breath; the mental body – different breath – vitalities; the casual body – pranic breathing. The study was delimited to the 20 male students of Naveen Vidhya Niketan School, Gwalior, ranging from 12-16 years of age. For six weeks duration and subjects were divided into two groups (10 each) and randomly i.e. One experimental and one control group.

The purpose of this study was to predict the performance ability of sprinters in relation to selected physiological variables. Twenty male athletes aged between 14-18 years were selected from Sports Authority of India (SAI) Lucknow. To find out the Physiological variables to the athletic performance correlations, multiple correlation and regression analysis statistical technique were employed. The result of the study showed significant difference except in Resting pulse rate, Negative breath holding time, Body composition, Systolic blood pressure, Diastolic blood pressure, Respiratory rate and Maximum expiratory pressure.

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of varied packages of training on selected physiological variables of college women basketball players. Thirty subjects were selected from the Alagappa University College of Physical Education in Karaikudi and their age ranged from 19 to 23 years. The subjects were equally divided into three groups namely control and two experimental groups with ten subjects in each group. Control group (Group I) did not undergo any training programme rather than their daily routine work. The experimental group (Group II) underwent varied packages of training I (General training) and experimental group (Group III) were treated with varied packages of training II (Basketball skill related). Training was given for a period of 8 weeks, trained forty five minutes duration for six weeks except Sunday.

As the popularity of soccer increases in India, a development of the teaching and coaching techniques is needed. In a true sense, soccer is a game with a complex system of motor action. The insideinstep kick is the most frequently used technique when a shorter and precise pass or shot is required. The performances of soccer players for the developed nations of the world have advanced their research in motor action for the game of soccer. This study will focus on the kinematic analysis of linear velocity at various joint for inside instep soccer kick by different level soccer players. Analysis would be made amongst National, State and District level players. The study was conducted on the field setting. Standard ball (weight 450 grams) was used for all subjects and for the kick.

The social, psychological and spiritual qualities of a person are expressed through different postures of our body. As such the physical fitness of a person cannot be ignored at any cost.

Longer foot need more angular distance before it is cleared at the take off board and also the take off area of the foot becomes larger may also lead to the loss of force transmission due to force dissipation through the larger area of foot. Objective of the study: This study was to analyze the correlation among the medial side foot length from the horizontal axis of the ankle, foot area while standing plantar flexed and long jump performance.

The aim of the study was to study the level of self-co nfidence, study habits and attitudes of adolescents and to compare self-confidence and study habits and attitudes among adolescent students of physical education and non physical education adolescent students. 120 adolescents from different schools of Chandigarh were selected. The sample was further classified into 2 groups 60 practicing physical exercise and 60 non physical education adolescent students. Agnihotri's Self- Confidence Inventory (ASCI), and to test study habits, Tests of Study Habits and Attitudes by Dr. C.P. Mathur was used to collect the data.

The number of children who experience nature every day is decreasing dramatically. The evolution of technology that created gaming systems, ipods, personal computers, etc... has taken control of our children. As a result, children spend less time outdoors playing and more time indoors gaming. Thus, the sever increase in childhood obesity rates. It is time to reconnect children with nature. Allow them to run through valleys and over hills, jump over fallen trees, watch insects build homes, plant and nurture a living organism; its time to let kids be kids and let nature show them how to truly play. A natural setting for play will increase children's physical activity level and keep children fit. Thus, lowering their chances of adolescent and/or adult obesity.
